Frequently Asked Questions

What are your Hours?

The range is open to all members from dawn to dusk every day of the year. You will receive the code to the gate lock, which will enable you to drive your vehicle inside the club property.

do you have a practice range as well as a 3D course?

We have three practice ranges that members can use any time. The first is a fixed range with 42” x 36” target butts set at distances of 10yds, 20 yds (2 targets), 23yds, 30 yds (2 targets), 40 yds, 50 yds, and 67 yds. Adjacent to that range there is an elevated practice platform where you can shoot at 3D targets at varying ranges. There are normally five or six 3D targets shootable from the platform. Last, there is a full time 3D practice course, which currently has 17 targets ranging in distance from about 15 to 40 yards.

Do you Rent equipment?

At this time we do not offer equipment rentals.

what kind of weapons are people allowed to shoot?

Compound and traditional (longbows and recurve) bows are permitted on any members’ range but you must shoot field points only. Broadheads are prohibited. Crossbows and firearms are strictly prohibited on any of the HMB members’ ranges.

There is a small public range for non-members, with three target butts, located adjacent to the parking lot where you can shoot a crossbow. Like our members’ ranges, no broadheads are allowed. Firearms of any type are not permitted anywhere on the club premises. The public range is closed when we have a Sunday 3D shoot.

do you offer lessons?

We are gearing up to begin providing lessons. The first class will be on June 4, 2024. Participants in that and subsequent classes will be derived from the existing waiting list. You will be contacted to see if you are still interested and provided additional information at that time.
